The Bay Wind Field Inc (BAY WIND) is an independent, community owned corporation which has been raising capital through the Community Economic Development Investment Fund (CEDIF) program of in Nova Scotia . The CEDIF program affords Nova Scotian taxpayers attractive incentives for investing in Nova Scotia companies.
Bay Wind's investment focus is in the area of wind power exploration and development, as well as other emerging business opportunities related to carbon emission reduction, tidal and solar power, hydrogen and renewable co-generation. The aim of the company is to invest in the renewable energy sector on behalf of over 163 community-based shareholders the money raised through public offerings of shares. Bay Wind does this through investment in companies conducting business in the renewable energy sector and also as a bona-fide partner of an owner-operator of large-scale commercial wind turbine projects in Nova Scotia .
Board of Directors: The Bay Wind Field Inc. (BWF) is made up of members of your local community who are raising money to invest in wind power and other alternate sources of energy.
Robert Robinson: President of the Board Bob Robinson retired in 2000 from the Toronto Fire Department as Captain of the Toronto Heavy Rescue Squad, one of three in the Toronto area. During the 1970s Bob also owned and operated Robinson Sign Company, which manufactured and installed both illuminated and non-illuminated storefront and field advertising signs (billboards) in Ontario .
He graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours degree. As a partner in Windsong Group Inc. and a recent member of the community, Bob is committed to enhancing life services within the community and currently is a Board member of DALA (Digby Area Learning Association) and the Basin Wellness Society.
Douglas Miller: Vice President of the Board In 2000, Doug Miller retired after a long career as Terminal Manager of Digby's Ferry terminal. Doug is a native of Digby who took Engineering and Commerce at Acadia University . He also has a diploma in Electronic Engineering from DeVry Institute.
Avril Robinson: Secretary of the Board Avril Robinson has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 25 years and is currently a partner in Windsong Group Inc. As an independent consultant for the last five years, she has provided telecommunications business and customer service advice to both the public and private sectors.
Coral Belliveau: Director of the Board Formerly General Manager for Comeauville Fisheries Limited, Coral Belliveau was responsible for all activities relating to the fisheries industry. Coral lives in Church Point where he manages an investment portfolio.
Peter Wyman: Treasurer of the Board
Peter Wyman is a Broker and Owner of Habitation Realities Ltd, located in Annapolis Royal , Canada 's oldest European settlement. He is a consultant for the Explorer newspaper, an annual visitors guide to the Annapolis area. Peter is a graduate of Boston University and a former English teacher. He is often seen flying stunt kites off the ramparts of Fort Anne National Historic Site, directly across the street from his Real Estate office.
