In general, the wind resources in Nova Scotia are very good. Nova Scotia’s location in the Gulf Stream brings abundant wind year round. Despite our good resources, not every location is right for on-site renewable energy, and generally sites with a wind speed greater than 6m/s are preferable.

It is important that your wind turbine is higher than any objects within its facility, and some wind turbines come with different size towers to help address this issue.
