Description:
The Scirocco is a European designed and manufactured turbine best suited for the harsh climate of Eastern Canada. The direct drive generator eliminates the need for noisy gears, and the variable pitch blades maximize the energy harnessed from the wind.

Application:
This turbine is ideal for rural homes, farms, small business, restaurants, office buildings, recreation facilities, apartment buildings, and many others. Depending on site location, this turbine can produce on average between $1,600 - $2,600/year of electricity, at current Nova Scotia rates (10.8cents /kWh). The average Nova Scotian home uses about 12,000kWh/year, however this number is higher for homes that have electric heating systems: boilers, heat pumps or electric baseboard.
